She entered the world under extraordinary circumstances. Born while her mother was serving time in a federal prison and with a father entangled in criminal activity, most would have assumed her life was destined for hardship. Her early months were spent in a halfway house before her grandmother stepped in to care for her. Life was chaotic—frequent moves, shifting schools, and learning resilience at a young age.
