Grief and outrage continue to ripple across the nation following the tragic shooting of Renee Nicole Good, a devoted 37-year-old mother of three. Her death during a Minneapolis ICE protest on January 7 has sparked intense debate, conflicting narratives, and a flood of emotions from family, friends, and the public.
A father’s heartbreak
Renee’s former father-in-law, Tim Macklin Sr., opened up about her life and character, describing her as “outgoing” and “a real good person.” Despite the family connection ending with a divorce, Macklin shared that he had maintained a warm relationship with Renee over the years, noting how she often brought her six-year-old son to visit.
“This has been really hard for the family,” Macklin told reporters. “I think she’s a great person.”
Adding to the heartbreak, Macklin’s own son, Tim Macklin Jr., passed away in 2023 at age 36, making the loss of Renee all the more devastating.
