Every birth is memorable, but some moments are so unusual that they stay with everyone who witnesses them. At a hospital in Hai Phong, Vietnam, medical staff reportedly encountered one such moment when a newborn arrived with an unexpected object in his tiny hand.
According to the account, the baby was born after his mother had been using an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD). Shortly after delivery, doctors noticed that the newborn appeared to be holding the device. The unusual sight was photographed by hospital staff, and the image later attracted widespread attention online.
For the medical team, the moment was both surprising and symbolic. An IUD is designed to prevent pregnancy, but no contraceptive method is considered completely effective. Pregnancy can rarely occur despite an IUD, making cases like this particularly unusual.
