After a long day serving their community, a priest offered a nun a ride back to the convent.
The journey began like any ordinary drive.
They talked about their work, their responsibilities, and the small challenges that seemed to fill every day. Nothing about the conversation seemed unusual.
But as they approached the convent, the nun suddenly remembered something.
“Father, remember Psalm 129.”
The priest nodded.
He assumed she was referring to an important passage from Scripture, perhaps one she thought he should reflect on.
So he quietly continued driving.
A few minutes later, the nun repeated herself.
“Father, remember Psalm 129.”
Again, the priest nodded.
This time, he became even more curious.
Why was she repeating the reference?
Perhaps there was some deeper lesson in the passage. Maybe she was trying to remind him of something without explaining it directly.
Rather than interrupt her, he decided to think about it later.
When they reached the convent, the nun thanked him for the ride and went inside.
The priest drove back to the church.
But he couldn’t stop thinking about those three words.
