What I had discovered appeared to be an unusual but harmless type of fungus growing in the garden. It wasn’t the dangerous infestation I had briefly imagined. It was simply part of the natural world doing what it does best\u2014appearing in places and forms we don’t always expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I felt a little embarrassed by how quickly my mind had jumped to the worst possible explanation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
