Trump Issues Defiant Message as NATO Troops Arrive in Greenland

The arrival of NATO troops in Greenland has added a new dimension to rising diplomatic tensions surrounding the Arctic territory, following repeated statements by U.S. President Donald Trump expressing interest in American control of the island.

The first group of NATO personnel landed in Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, as part of Danish-led joint military exercises known as Operation Arctic Endurance. The contingent includes troops from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and Norway, marking a visible increase in allied military activity in the region.
