Early Life and Ambition
Born on August 24, 1997, in Atkinson, New Hampshire, Karoline grew up understanding the value of hard work. Her parents owned an ice cream stand, where she spent countless summers helping out, learning responsibility and perseverance. She attended Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where her Catholic education instilled discipline, a sense of public service, and a strong connection to faith—values she still credits for shaping her character today.
Leavitt earned a softball scholarship to Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, playing outfield for the Hawks. She credits athletics with teaching her teamwork, determination, and focus—skills that seamlessly translated to her political career. While in college, she founded the Saint Anselm Broadcasting Club, volunteered at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, and wrote opinion pieces for the student newspaper, demonstrating her early political engagement. Notably, a 2016 column defended Donald Trump’s travel ban and critiqued media bias, foreshadowing her future career path.
