Brooklyn Beckham’s Ex Opens Up About Victoria During Their Relationship

As the Beckham family drama continues to dominate headlines, a past interview with Brooklyn Beckham’s former girlfriend has resurfaced, casting new light on Victoria Beckham just as tensions between mother and son escalate.

Recently, Brooklyn, 26, the son of football legend David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, reportedly blocked his parents and siblings on social media, insisting that all communication go through lawyers, according to the Daily Mail.

A month later, on January 19, he shocked fans with a series of candid Instagram posts, accusing his parents of years of control and manipulation.

Brooklyn Breaks His Silence

In his viral message, Brooklyn explained:

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about some of the lies that have been printed.”

He made it clear he wanted a clean break:

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”

Brooklyn also criticized what he called “performative behavior,” adding:

“The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Wedding Drama

One of Brooklyn’s most personal complaints concerned his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. He said the celebration was “hijacked” by his mother, alleging Victoria “danced very inappropriately” during a romantic moment meant for him and his new wife.

“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he wrote, also accusing his family of treating Nicola as “not blood” and “not family.”

He added:

“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”

David Beckham Responds

Neither Victoria nor David Beckham has responded directly to the accusations. However, David appeared to make a subtle comment in a January 20 interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box:

“They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”

Looking Back at Brooklyn’s Past Relationship

While much of the spotlight has been on Brooklyn’s current conflict, fans are also revisiting his past relationship with actress Chloë Grace Moretz, now 28. The couple dated on and off from 2014 to 2018 after meeting at a SoulCycle class, becoming one of Hollywood’s most high-profile young couples.

In a 2014 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Moretz praised Victoria:

“[Victoria is] an amazing person. I really admire her work ethic… I love her line. As a family, they’re awesome people.”

She also complimented their parenting:

“He’s a great dad, she’s a great mother. They genuinely are very good parents. That’s what matters most—they made a pretty son,” she said.

However, Moretz admitted in a 2016 interview with British InStyle that dating someone from a globally famous family was challenging:

“It’s horrible and weird. It creates a mass frenzy. They follow you in separate cars, so you can’t just run around and share little silly, cute moments.”

After splitting in 2018, Moretz declined to comment further about Brooklyn, telling Elle:

“I want nothing to be said…”

Fans Weigh In

The Beckham family feud, combined with Brooklyn’s public statements and Moretz’s reflections on dating into such a high-profile family, has left fans divided. While Brooklyn’s current struggles dominate the headlines, his past relationships provide context on the pressures of growing up in one of the world’s most famous families.

What do you think of Brooklyn’s public accusations and the ongoing Beckham family drama?
