Iran Launches Widespread Attacks Across Middle East After US and Israel Strike Leadership Sites

In an extraordinary escalation of regional conflict, Iran has launched a series of missile and drone attacks across the Middle East in retaliation for coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on key targets inside Iranian territory, including sites linked to the country’s leadership and strategic military infrastructure.

Explosion and Damage in Iran After Joint Strikes

In the early hours of February 28, 2026, Israeli and American forces executed a coordinated offensive — reported under the operation name “Lion’s Roar” — that struck multiple locations in several Iranian cities. Explosions shook Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom, and other urban areas, with satellite imagery showing significant destruction at parts of the residence complex linked to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Video and photographic evidence shared by global news agencies revealed plumes of smoke rising from central Tehran, while emergency sirens sounded across the capital. Iranian authorities reported civilian deaths in some cities, including a strike at a girls’ school in Minab that reportedly killed dozens of students and injured many more.
