Captain Jason Vance had handled difficult flights before.
With thousands of hours in the sky, the experienced pilot had seen severe turbulence, dangerous storms, and emergency landings. But nothing in his aviation career prepared him for what happened during one seemingly routine afternoon flight.
The weather was perfect.
Passengers relaxed in their seats while the aircraft cruised smoothly toward the city airport. Inside the cockpit, Jason and his co-pilot calmly prepared for landing, unaware that within minutes, the peaceful flight would turn into a terrifying fight for survival.
A Strange Object Appears in the Sky
At first, it looked harmless.
Jason noticed a single bird flying unusually close to the aircraft’s path. Bird encounters are common in aviation, but most animals instinctively avoid large planes because of the deafening engines and overwhelming speed.
This bird did the opposite.
Instead of flying away, it circled aggressively near the cockpit windshield.
