The blaze broke out inside a 67-storey residential tower housing thousands of residents, forcing families to flee through smoke-filled corridors as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
For many living inside the building, the night changed within minutes.
Residents Realized the Danger Too Late
Several tenants reported that they initially had no idea a major fire was spreading through the tower.
Some first noticed the smell of smoke drifting into their apartments. Others only learned something was wrong after receiving frantic calls or messages from friends outside the building who spotted fire engines gathering below.
One resident explained that what first seemed like a small kitchen smell quickly escalated into panic after looking outside and seeing flashing emergency lights surrounding the tower.
