“The inflammation came from the wrong foods,” she explained. “I thought I was healthy eating lots of fruit and veggies, but I was choosing high-sugar fruit and carb-heavy vegetables. I’d start the day with coconut water or juice and a bowl of fruit, snack on fruit all day, and finish with mango for dessert. It was sugar overload, and I didn’t realize it.”
Tracking her progress through the app, Dawn quickly saw results. “I lost about 5kg in the first month. It wasn’t just about weight; it was watching my health improve day by day,” she said.
Dawn embraced cooking, planning meals carefully to avoid waste, save money, and ensure she always had healthy options ready. She swapped her fruit-heavy diet for natural yogurt, wholesome muffins, hearty salads, and protein-rich dinners like salmon, chicken, and beef. Fruit became an occasional treat, not a daily staple, and fast food was cut entirely.
She kept up daily yoga but didn’t add any extra high-intensity workouts. “Compared to my first blood check, my doctor is thrilled with my results. My energy is up, my sleep has improved, and inflammation has gone down,” Dawn shared.
The mental benefits were equally impressive. Cooking became meditative, her skin now glows, and she feels healthier than ever. “I wear minimal makeup, moisturize daily, and always use sunscreen. But my skin reflects my clean, balanced diet, water intake, and yoga in nature,” she said.
Dawn encourages anyone feeling stuck with their health to take action. “It’s never too late to change. I started yoga in my 20s to stay active into my 90s, but at 55 I realized I needed a full reset. Seeing my progress inspires both me and my clients.”
