As they passed the old man, the first biker poked fun at his pie. The second picked up his milk and made a silly mess of it. The third flipped his plate off the table, laughing along with his friends.
The man didn’t react. He quietly placed some cash on the table, stood up, and walked out of the diner.
The bikers laughed and called over the waitress. “Not much of a man, huh?” one said.
The waitress smiled knowingly and replied, “Not just a man… he’s the cleverest truck driver you’ll ever meet.”
