Medical Professional Says Trump May Have Had a Stroke in the Past Year

A shocking claim has emerged suggesting that former President Donald Trump may have suffered a stroke last year—and allegedly kept it private. Professor Bruce Davidson of Washington State University made the assertion during a podcast interview with biographer Sidney Blumenthal and historian Sean Wilentz on The Court of History.

According to Davidson, there’s evidence pointing to a stroke on the left side of Trump’s brain, which affects movement on the right side of the body. “I think the stroke happened earlier in 2025,” Davidson said, noting several subtle signs that caught his attention.

Signs Pointed Out by Davidson

  • Walking changes: Videos show Trump shuffling his feet rather than his usual confident stride on the golf course.
  • Hand positioning: He’s been seen cradling his right hand with his left.
  • Speech irregularities: Earlier in 2025, Trump reportedly garbled words—though he seems to have improved over time.
  • Excessive sleepiness: Davidson cited instances of the former president appearing unusually drowsy during public events, a common symptom in stroke patients.
  • Air Force One footage: Trump was observed holding the bannister with his left hand, despite being right-handed, which Davidson says aligns with a left-brain stroke.

Davidson emphasized that if his claims are correct, Trump seems to have recovered significantly, but the stroke could explain some of his erratic or unpredictable behavior during his second White House term.
