{"id":14209,"date":"2026-09-03T22:49:38","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T22:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tbdig.com\/divaxo\/?p=14209"},"modified":"2026-09-03T22:49:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T22:49:38","slug":"three-arrested-in-richland-county-investigation-involving-two-infants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tbdig.com\/divaxo\/three-arrested-in-richland-county-investigation-involving-two-infants\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Arrested in Richland County Investigation Involving Two Infants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">COLUMBIA, S.C. \u2014 Three people have been charged in connection with the alleged physical abuse of two infants under the age of one, according to the Richland County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputies responded to a Columbia hospital in the early morning hours of January 31 after medical staff reported signs of physical abuse on the infants. The parents, 24-year-old Amos R. Mobley Jr. and 23-year-old Daija Benjamin, were questioned along with the children\u2019s paternal grandmother, 62-year-old Anita Hingleton-Mobley, a former Richland County School District One employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigators said they found inconsistencies in the statements provided during the questioning. All three were identified as suspects. Arrest warrants were issued on February 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three individuals turned themselves in on March 3 at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Each faces two counts of inflicting great bodily injury upon a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities stated that the infants remained under medical supervision and that their injuries were not life-threatening.
