The FBI is pushing back hard, insisting there is&nbsp;<strong>no cover-up<\/strong>&nbsp;and no deception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident in question dates back to July 13, 2024, when 20-year-old Thomas Crooks climbed onto a rooftop during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and opened fire with an AR-15-style rifle. Eight rounds were fired into the crowd. One bullet grazed Trump\u2019s ear; firefighter Corey Comperatore was killed; two others were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seconds later, a Secret Service counter-sniper shot and killed Crooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than a year later, the moment remains one of the most alarming events of the 2024 election cycle\u2014and Carlson says the public still isn\u2019t getting the full truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carlson has spent weeks alleging that the FBI withheld what it knew about Crooks\u2019 online activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He argued on X:<br><strong>\u201cThe FBI said Crooks had no online footprint. He claims to have accessed Crooks\u2019 Google Drive and uncovered old YouTube comments from 2019\u20132020 that, in his view, contradict the narrative that Crooks left no warning signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bongino: \u201cThere Is No Cover-Up\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a Nov. 21 interview with Fox News Digital, former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino dismissed the accusations entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve gone over this case repeatedly.
