President Donald Trump<\/strong> has issued a statement following the deadly shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good<\/strong> by an ICE officer in Minneapolis, a tragedy that has sparked nationwide outrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the footage as \u201ca horrible thing to watch,\u201d calling Good \u201cdisorderly\u201d and claiming she \u201cviolently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer,\u201d who fired in what he called self-defense. Trump emphasized that attacks on law enforcement and ICE agents are driven by the \u201cRadical Left\u201d and urged Americans to \u201cstand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Video footage<\/strong> of the incident shows multiple ICE agents approaching a burgundy Honda Pilot. According to the footage, Good did not immediately exit the vehicle. She briefly reversed before attempting to drive forward, prompting an ICE agent to fire three shots at the driver. The SUV then collided with a parked car further down the street. The video has gone viral, fueling debate over the circumstances of the shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good\u2019s mother, Donna Ganger<\/strong>, spoke to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, expressing grief and shock:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s so stupid. She was probably terrified. Renee was one of the kindest people I\u2019ve ever known. She was extremely compassionate, loving, forgiving, and affectionate\u2014an amazing human being.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ganger also refuted claims that her daughter was involved in protests occurring near the scene, insisting she had no connection to demonstrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey<\/strong> has sharply criticized ICE\u2019s account, calling the self-defense claim \u201cbullsh*t\u201d and demanding the federal agency leave the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey are already trying to spin this as an act of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bull****,\u201d Frey said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Eyewitnesses captured harrowing moments following the shooting, including a woman claiming to be Good\u2019s wife, who explained they had a six-year-old child and no local family to help:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my wife\u2026 I have a six-year-old at school\u2026 we\u2019re new here\u2026 we don\u2019t have anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin<\/strong> described the driver\u2019s actions as \u201cweaponizing her vehicle\u201d and labeled the incident an \u201cact of domestic terrorism,\u201d escalating tensions further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, Minneapolis streets erupted with protests. Demonstrators marched, hurled snowballs, and clashed with law enforcement, prompting Governor Tim Walz<\/strong> to place the Minnesota National Guard on standby<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have soldiers in training and prepared to be deployed if necessary,\u201d Walz said. \u201cMinnesota will not allow our community to be used as a prop in a national political fight. We will not take the bait.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
