While most kids his age are glued to smartphones, iPads, and gaming systems, Luke decided to take a hands-on approach to boredom\u2014and built his very own tiny house in his backyard!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This ambitious project cost around <strong>$1,500<\/strong>, but to Luke, it\u2019s a personal paradise\u2014a mini house he designed entirely himself. Over the course of a year, he saved up by mowing lawns, fundraising online, and doing odd jobs for neighbors, proving that determination and hard work can turn dreams into reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/tbdig.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-321.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6272\" style=\"width:450px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tbdig.com\/divaxo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-321.png 768w, https:\/\/tbdig.com\/divaxo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/image-321-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke even got creative with materials. Around <strong>75% of the tiny house<\/strong> came from recycled items, including leftover wood from his grandmother\u2019s house, and the front door was a gift from a family friend. For electricity, he teamed up with a friend skilled in wiring, helping clear their garage in exchange for guidance on installing the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continue reading on next page&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--nextpage-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 89-square-foot home measures 10 feet long and 5 \u00bd feet wide.
