Footage of the encounter has circulated widely online. In one video reportedly filmed by Ross himself, Good can be heard saying, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you,” moments before Ross allegedly shot her three times. Afterward, he is heard muttering a derogatory remark as her vehicle collided with parked cars down the road.
Licensed counselor Dr. Grande analyzed footage from a separate angle on his YouTube channel, noting that conflicting instructions may have contributed to the tragic outcome. According to Dr. Grande, Good received simultaneous commands: one agent told her to drive away, while another instructed her to exit the vehicle.
He explains: “Renee should have understood she was being detained. When she moved forward, an officer could reasonably have feared for his safety given her vehicle’s position. Legally, this could be considered assault.”
Dr. Grande also suggested that Ross’ prior experience being dragged by a vehicle during the 2025 traffic stop might have influenced his decision to use lethal force in Minneapolis. He acknowledged that the situation escalated rapidly and that prior trauma may have played a role in the officer’s response.
