Sometimes the strangest discoveries happen in the most ordinary places. When one woman found an unusual object in her garden, she was so puzzled by what she saw that she turned to the internet for answers.
But instead of finding an obvious explanation, she ended up with even more questions.
The strange object had an unusual, almost otherworldly appearance. Its shape appeared to include an elongated skull, a narrow torso and remarkably thin, reed-like limbs extending from where arms and legs would normally be.
At first, the woman suspected she had discovered some kind of unusual mushroom or fungus. But the more she examined it, the less convinced she became.
With no clear answer, she shared the discovery with friends. When they were equally confused, the mystery eventually made its way onto Reddit, where online communities attempted to identify the bizarre-looking object.
Reddit Couldn’t Agree
The discovery was initially posted in a Reddit community focused on mushrooms, presumably because the object appeared to be some kind of unusual growth.
But the mushroom enthusiasts could not identify it.
Instead, commenters directed the poster toward another online community dedicated to unusual and supposedly unexplained objects.
That community did not provide a definitive answer either.
As speculation grew, users began offering theories ranging from the unusual to the downright bizarre.
One commenter jokingly warned the poster not to touch the object with bare hands, writing:
“Wear gloves, dont go skin to skin. Classic xfiles mistake right there.”
The comment referenced The X-Files, adding a humorous extraterrestrial twist to an already strange discovery.
Another commenter focused on the object’s unusual shape, pointing out what they believed looked like tiny breasts.
Someone else was even more convinced by the appearance, suggesting that it resembled “an alien fetus.”
Of course, none of these theories provided any evidence that the object was actually extraterrestrial.
