Final Moments in the Sky: Passenger Footage from a Doomed Flight

A passenger traveling from Delhi to Ahmedabad on an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner unknowingly captured what may be among the last recordings of the aircraft before its fatal flight. His photos and video, taken just before takeoff, are now being described as crucial evidence.

The Passenger’s Account
The traveler, identified as Akash, documented conditions inside the plane as passengers prepared for departure. In his video, he expressed frustration over multiple systems not working on board. According to his recording:

• The air conditioning was not functioning, leaving the cabin sweltering in Delhi’s 40+ degree heat.
• Entertainment screens were down, with no access to music or TV.
• Overhead lights and the call button for cabin crew were also unresponsive.

“It’s so hot. Nothing is working—not even the AC, not the remote, not the lights. This is why Air India has such a reputation,” he can be heard saying, visibly sweating during the recording.

What the Photos Revealed
Along with the video, Akash shared photographs of the aircraft taken while boarding at Delhi airport. The images show luggage being loaded and passengers entering the aircraft. Hours later, after reaching Ahmedabad, Akash and his family disembarked. Tragically, many passengers remained onboard for the next leg of the journey toward London Gatwick. Those passengers never made it to their destination.
