A new, chilling layer has emerged in the ongoing investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, drawing scrutiny from body language and criminal behavior experts. Nancy, 84, mother of TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, vanished from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1, sparking an immediate and widespread search after blood belonging to her was discovered at the residence.
Now, nearly two weeks into the search, FBI-released footage from a Nest security camera outside Nancy’s home is providing the first glimpse of the suspect, captured on February 10. The masked figure is seen approaching the property at night, wearing light-colored clothing.
Former FBI agent Mark Harrigan raised alarms over how the suspect carried a firearm. “That is a very non-conventional way to carry a firearm. Very non-conventional,” he told The New York Post, noting the weapon was openly positioned at the front of the body. “Normally, you would want it concealed if you’re committing a crime—so you’re not drawing attention.”
