Hallmark Crew Mourns Nate Pelletier: A Gentle Soul Gone Too Soon
The Hallmark family is mourning the sudden loss of Nathaniel “Nate” Pelletier, beloved crew member and occasional actor on the hit series When Calls The Heart, who passed away last month at just 53.
Nate, remembered by fans for his recurring role as a taxi driver, was best known behind the scenes, caring for and driving the show’s vintage vehicles. His presence on set went far beyond his duties—he was a steady, calming force, and a friend to cast and crew alike.
He passed away on April 11 at his home in Langley, British Columbia, leaving a hole in the tight-knit community of the show.

Actor Martin Cummins, who plays Henry Gowen, shared an emotional reflection on his longtime friend:

“I’ve spent more hours at work sitting in the blue room, in silence or conversation with Gord and Nate, than standing on tape with the camera rolling. Life is constantly changing. Things are never the same. The Valley will not be the same without Nathaniel Pelletier. He was a gentle soul, and it was my honor to call him friend.”
