Douglas first gained recognition as a producer for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in 1976, a project he took on thanks to his father, Kirk Douglas. He later became a celebrated on-screen presence, earning acclaim for roles such as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street, and leading performances in Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct.
