When my husband Nolan first suggested that I move to the guest room, he made it sound reasonable.
“You’ve been talking in your sleep a lot lately,” he told me one evening. “It’s been really hard for me to get proper rest.”
At first, I felt embarrassed and even guilty. If my sleep habits were disturbing him, maybe sleeping separately for a while would help both of us rest better. So I packed a few things and started sleeping in the guest room with our young son, Rowan.
