A farmer noticed that several calves were repeatedly licking the same area of an old brick wall inside his barn. At first, he assumed the behavior might be related to mineral needs, as livestock can sometimes seek additional nutrients in their environment.
To rule out a deficiency, he provided mineral supplements nearby. However, the calves continued returning to the same section of the wall.
