A Quiet Waiting Room That Turned Into an Unexpected Lesson
At first glance, the hospital waiting room looked like any other. People sat scattered across the chairs, some scrolling through their phones, others staring at the clock or quietly speaking with loved ones. The air carried that familiar mix of patience and tension that often fills places where people are waiting for updates or appointments.
In one corner of the room, however, an elderly woman sat alone on a plastic bench. She held a worn brown bag carefully in her hands, checking it from time to time as if making sure something important was still inside. Her coat looked thin for the weather, her scarf faded with age, and her shoes showed the marks of many years of use. She kept mostly to herself, occasionally glancing around the room but never speaking to anyone nearby.
At first, most people barely noticed her. But as time passed, curiosity slowly turned into quiet attention.

A few people sitting nearby began whispering to one another. They exchanged looks, trying to guess why she was there. Without knowing her story, some assumed she might have come in simply to warm up from the cold outside. Others wondered if she had wandered into the wrong part of the hospital.
