Sergio’s voice cracked slightly.
“Mariana… what are you doing?”
I didn’t answer him right away. Instead, I picked up the second phone beside me and tapped the screen. Within seconds, the outdoor speakers—installed around the garden months ago—clicked on.
Now, everyone outside could hear me clearly.
“You all came here to celebrate,” I said calmly. “So let’s celebrate honesty too.”
