A major traffic accident caused chaos this Wednesday on the Mexico–Querétaro Highway after a trailer reportedly lost control and crashed into multiple vehicles in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico.
The collision occurred near kilometer 59 on the busy highway and quickly brought traffic to a standstill as emergency crews rushed to the scene. According to initial reports, the trailer was traveling toward Mexico City when the driver was unable to brake in time near the Jorobas intersection.
Authorities say the heavy vehicle first struck a roadside embankment before crashing into at least five cars and a pickup truck. The force of the impact caused the trailer to end up blocking all three north-to-south lanes, leading to a partial closure and significant traffic delays for drivers traveling through the area.
