Jimmy Kimmel Mocks Trump’s Claim About Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles Mayor Race

Jimmy Kimmel used his latest late-night monologue to take aim at President Donald Trump’s claim that Spencer Pratt’s Los Angeles mayoral race was unfairly handled.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host joked about Trump’s suggestion that the election process worked against Pratt after the reality TV personality failed to move forward in the mayoral primary.

The comments came after Pratt finished behind Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman in the June 2 primary. Under California’s election rules, the top two candidates move on to the general election unless one candidate receives more than 50 percent of the vote.

Kimmel Questions Trump’s Election Claim

Kimmel focused on what he saw as a major flaw in Trump’s argument.

The mayoral race appeared on the same ballot as California’s governor’s race. In that contest, Republican candidate Steve Hilton, who had Trump’s support, advanced to the November runoff.

That detail became the center of Kimmel’s joke. He questioned why one race on the ballot would supposedly be unfair while another race on the same ballot produced a result Trump supported.
