Donald Trump Plans Legal Action Against Trevor Noah Over Grammy Remarks

Racy outfits, surprise award moments, political jabs, and a jaw-dropping Epstein joke that left Donald Trump fuming—the 2026 Grammy Awards delivered drama from start to finish.

From Chappell Roan turning heads in a bold, conversation-starting look to Cher hilariously announcing a winner who’s been gone for more than 20 years, the ceremony was anything but predictable. But the biggest buzz of the night came when host Trevor Noah didn’t shy away from controversy.

Referencing the recent release of new Epstein documents, Noah quipped:

“Song of the Year—that’s a Grammy every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Makes sense, because Epstein’s island is gone… he needs a new place to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

Trump’s name appears over 1,000 times in the latest batch of released files. While inclusion in the documents does not imply wrongdoing, he has long been associated with Epstein, though both Trump and others deny ever visiting Epstein’s infamous island, where crimes were committed. Trump has consistently denied any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities and has never been accused of wrongdoing by Epstein’s victims.

The White House and Justice Department were quick to respond. A statement noted that some of the files “contain untrue and sensational claims against President Trump submitted to the FBI prior to the 2020 election.”
