Charlie Puth Faces Viewer Claims After Singing U.S. National Anthem at Super Bowl

Charlie Puth took center stage to perform the U.S. national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl, delivering a polished, powerful rendition that had fans holding their breath. But even a near-flawless performance couldn’t escape the scrutiny of online critics.

Super Bowl LX, held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, pitted the New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks, and the music lineup quickly became a hot topic. Bad Bunny’s halftime show split fans, drawing both praise and criticism, while Green Day’s pre-show performance of American Idiot fueled speculation that the band was sending a pointed message to the Trump administration.

Charlie Puth followed Green Day with the anthem, hitting every note with precision and control. Yet, despite his technical skill, some viewers weren’t convinced it was performed live.
