Born September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach, Florida, Cheryl was raised Catholic in Tallahassee. Growing up in a modest household with two brothers and a sister, she was encouraged to pursue education and success, and she found her calling in acting early on. A member of the Young Actors Theatre throughout high school, Cheryl credits her father, James Hines, with instilling her comedic instincts. \u201cHe was quick-witted, always ready with a phrase that made us laugh until the end,\u201d she recalled after his passing in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
