An Arizona man who was briefly detained in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie, has spoken publicly for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing since February 1. Authorities have stated they believe she was abducted, prompting an extensive multi-agency search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 13, a SWAT team executed search warrants at a Tucson residence located about two miles from Nancy\u2019s home. Residents Luke Daley, 37, and his 77-year-old mother were detained during the search but later released without charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t see any resemblance,\u201d he said regarding a masked individual captured by a Nest doorbell camera the night Nancy disappeared. \u201cAbsolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Daley added, \u201cSomeone says something, and then they just go off of it based on no evidence, no truth. I, like everyone else, just want Nancy to come home and be safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n His attorney, Chris Scileppi, emphasized that neither Daley nor his mother has any connection to the case. \u201cThey were detained only while search warrants were executed,\u201d Scileppi said. \u201cNeither was arrested, and they have no information related to Nancy Guthrie. Like the rest of the Tucson community, they hope for her safe return.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to Nancy\u2019s recovery.
