He was subsequently sentenced to life in prison. During his trial, prosecutors highlighted that his actions had no explanation and were \u201cwholly out of character.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luna\u2019s mother shared her grief in court, stating, \u201cSeeing Luna on life support in the hospital will last with me forever. I can\u2019t describe how that felt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just a month after beginning his sentence, Deane was discovered dead in his cell. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, which reportedly involved another inmate, John Westland.
