An elderly farmer was driving his tractor down a rural road, hauling a wagon piled high with manure, when a state trooper pulled him over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou were speeding,\u201d the trooper said. \u201cI\u2019m going to have to write you a ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlright,\u201d the farmer replied calmly, watching as the trooper waved his hands to shoo away several buzzing flies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese flies are awful,\u201d the trooper muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, sir,\u201d the farmer said. \u201cThose are circle flies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCircle flies?\u201d the trooper asked. \u201cWhat\u2019s that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell,\u201d the farmer explained, \u201ccircle flies are the kind that like to circle around a horse\u2019s rear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trooper narrowed his eyes. \u201cAre you calling me<\/em> a horse\u2019s rear?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo, sir,\u201d the farmer said politely. \u201cI\u2019m just saying\u2026 those flies are hard to fool.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Later that day, a student named Jacob decided to challenge his teacher with a series of questions during class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He raised his hand and asked, \u201cHow do you put an elephant in a refrigerator?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The teacher paused. \u201cI\u2019m not sure.
