Comedian Ellen DeGeneres, now living a quieter life in the English countryside, is breaking her silence on a shocking tragedy in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Jan. 7, Renee Nicole Good, 37, was fatally shot in Minneapolis by an ICE agent, Jonathan Ross, shortly after dropping off her six-year-old at school. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community\u2014and DeGeneres is speaking out for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ellen\u2019s Message to Minneapolis<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In a heartfelt Instagram video, DeGeneres addressed Minneapolis residents directly, reflecting on her time filming her 2024 Netflix special, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval<\/em>, in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey everybody, I just wanted to say, I am so sorry for what is happening in Minneapolis and our country, really, but specifically Minneapolis right now because that\u2019s where I shot my last stand-up special.
