The 89-square-foot home measures 10 feet long and 5 ½ feet wide. It includes electricity, a lofted bed, TV, microwave, and even a backyard BBQ—but no plumbing yet. “I liked the minimalism,” Luke said. “And I wanted a house without a huge mortgage.”

Luke’s parents helped guide him, but his dad Greg made sure Luke handled most of the costs himself. “It’s a chance for a kid to do something beyond video games or sports,” Greg said. “It teaches life lessons.”

Luke is already dreaming bigger, planning a larger tiny house for college and hoping to inspire other kids to tackle ambitious projects. “I want to show kids it’s possible to build at this age,” he said.
