Trump lashes out at TIME magazine for ‘worst of all time’ picture of him

Former President Donald Trump is once again making headlines — this time for calling out TIME magazine over what he described as an unflattering cover image following his recent diplomatic victories in the Middle East.

During his October 13 trip to Sharm el-Sheikh, Trump joined more than 20 global leaders from nations including Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey to sign a peace declaration for Gaza. The visit came just after his stop in Israel, where he helped finalize a ceasefire deal that led to the release of several hostages and the freeing of thousands of detainees.

“I’m good at solving wars. I’m good at making peace,” Trump told the BBC, calling the agreement a milestone moment for stability in the region. TIME magazine described the deal as a “signature achievement” of his second term — but Trump wasn’t entirely pleased with the way the magazine chose to represent him visually.

In a post on Truth Social, the former president criticized the cover photo — showing him in a navy suit and red tie — for its low-angle shot and lighting. “They made my hair disappear. Bad photo. Super bad!” he wrote, suggesting that the magazine intentionally chose a less flattering image.

Trump, who has been named TIME Person of the Year twice, has long had a love-hate relationship with the publication, often praising its influence while slamming its editorial choices. He previously voiced similar complaints about TIME’s 2015 Person of the Year decision and the 2013 “Most Influential People” list.

Despite his criticism of the photo, Trump praised the article itself, saying it gave “fair credit” to his peace efforts. His comments once again highlight his ongoing attention to how he is portrayed in the media — even when the coverage is largely favorable.
