What Recent Coverage Reveals About ICE Agent Jonathan Ross in the Renee Good Case

The ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis last week has a controversial history, including a violent encounter in which he was dragged over 100 yards by a suspected undocumented immigrant.

New reports reveal that Jonathan Ross, the ICE officer involved in the January 7 shooting of Good, was seriously injured in a June 2025 incident in Bloomington, Minnesota. Court records confirm Ross’ identity and shed light on the traumatic encounter.

According to the reports, an ICE team attempted to stop Roberto Carlos Munoz, a suspect with multiple charges. When Munoz refused to exit his vehicle, Ross broke the back driver-side window and tried to reach inside to unlock the door. Munoz then sped off with Ross’ arm trapped, dragging him more than 100 yards while swerving to shake him loose. Ross suffered significant arm and hand injuries, requiring 33 stitches, officials said. Munoz was later arrested and convicted of assaulting a federal officer.
