Ross, a member of ICE’s ERO Special Response Team in Minneapolis, was involved in another high-profile incident just last week: the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good as she attempted to flee officers. The footage of the shooting has sparked widespread outrage.

Following the incident, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem defended Ross’ actions, stating he acted appropriately. Former President Donald Trump weighed in, calling Ross “lucky to be alive” and blaming Good. In contrast, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey condemned the shooting, warning ICE to leave the city and claiming the officers were sowing “chaos and distrust.” Frey added, “They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly: that is bulls**t.”

The case has ignited fierce debate over ICE operations, use of force, and accountability in Minneapolis, highlighting the tension between federal enforcement agencies and local officials.
