Leaving the light on above your stove overnight may seem harmless, especially if you like having a little extra visibility in the kitchen. In many cases, a properly installed range hood light can operate for several hours without a problem.
However, whether it makes sense to leave it on every night depends on the type of bulb, the condition of the appliance, and whether the light actually serves a useful purpose.
