Questions about age differences in relationships have existed for generations. Some people believe couples should be close in age, while others see age as only one part of a much larger picture.
When people turn to the Bible for guidance, however, they may be surprised by what they find. Scripture does not establish a universal rule requiring married couples to be the same age or to have a particular age difference.
Instead, biblical teachings place much greater emphasis on qualities such as faithfulness, respect, responsibility, kindness, and commitment.
