The sudden loss of a child is an unimaginable tragedy. In the East Sussex community of Lewes, the death of 13-year-old Maci Williams has left her family, friends, and fellow equestrians grieving.
Maci was a young girl who had a deep love of horses. According to accounts presented during the inquest, spending time with horses brought her happiness, confidence, and a sense of calm. Her family described her as bright, observant, gentle, and particularly comfortable around animals.
