My Date Ordered a $150 Lobster Dinner—Then Refused to Pay

He Thought They’d Agreed to Split the Bill—Then Her $150 Lobster Changed Everything

At 32, Evan was cautiously stepping back into the dating world.

Chloe leaned back.

“I’m not paying.”

Evan was stunned.

She explained that she believed the man should pay for the date and admitted she hadn’t actually expected him to insist on splitting the bill.

Evan wasn’t upset because of the amount.

He was upset because they had agreed on something beforehand.
