What Started as an Act of Cruelty Quickly Turned Into a Neighborhood Reckoning Nobody Saw Coming

For most twelve-year-olds, summer afternoons are spent riding bikes, playing video games, or hanging out with friends.

But for Ethan Parker, they were spent caring for dogs nobody else wanted.

The quiet middle-schooler had become known around the neighborhood for rescuing injured and abandoned animals, especially dogs with severe mobility issues.
