A family in Jardim das Américas is grieving after a two-month-old baby died following an overnight emergency at a residence, in a case authorities are still working to understand.
Preliminary reports indicate the infant had been with his father when the incident occurred. The father was described as extremely tired and had reportedly been holding the baby before falling asleep. Emergency services were later called to the home.
Medical responders from SAMU attended the scene, but the child could not be revived.
Investigation Remains Open
The Civil Police have opened an investigation and are gathering information about the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. At this stage, officials have not announced a final determination about what happened.
