Veteran Federal Judge Resigns to Speak Out on Rule of Law as Political Debate Intensifies

Judge Cites Desire to Speak Freely
The judge, who was originally appointed by former President Ronald Reagan, announced that he was relinquishing his lifetime judicial position so he could openly discuss concerns about the direction of American governance and the independence of the judiciary.
