Why Your Nose Breaks Out More Than You Expect

A pimple on the nose can feel far more noticeable than a blemish anywhere else. It sits in the middle of the face, catches light easily, and can make people reach for scrubs, spot treatments, or makeup before they understand what is actually happening.

In most cases, nose breakouts are not a sign of poor hygiene. They are usually connected to how the skin naturally works, especially in an oily area of the face where pores are more likely to become blocked.

Why the Nose Is Prone to Pimples

The nose is part of the face’s T-zone, which also includes the forehead and chin. This area tends to have more sebaceous glands than some other parts of the face. These glands make sebum, an oily substance that helps keep skin protected and moisturized.

When extra oil mixes with dead skin cells and naturally occurring bacteria, pores can become clogged. That can lead to blackheads, whiteheads, or inflamed pimples on and around the nose.
