Charlie Kirk was speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025, when a fatal shot was fired from a rooftop overlooking the outdoor gathering. In an instant, the event became a scene of panic and emergency response. Students and attendees fled, police moved into action, and a campus that had been filled with political discussion became the center of a major criminal investigation.
Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent conservative activist, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
